Our Identity

The Crest and the Logo

The Strandhill Golf Club crest has been a symbol of who we are since the 1970s. Built around our motto, Friendship in Sport, it captures the spirit of welcome and community that every visitor feels the moment they arrive. Each element of the crest tells the story of this remarkable peninsula. The Wave of the Atlantic, the Carrowmore Tombs, the handshake and Knocknarea Mountain all come together to reflect the place, the people and the values we stand for as a Club.

In 2023, we introduced a modernised commercial logo that draws its strength from the two great landmarks that frame our links, the power of the Atlantic Ocean and the presence of Knocknarea Mountain, with the course sitting proudly between them. Bolder in its design, it carries the same sense of place into a new era for the Club.

Both versions are a proud part of our identity, and you can pick up your own piece of that story in our Golf Shop.

The Strandhill Experience

Strandhill is a wonderfully varied and memorable links that keeps you engaged from start to finish. Set against the Wild Atlantic Way with Knocknarea as its backdrop, the course combines strategy, quirk, and standout holes that stay with you long after the round. It plays bigger than its yardage, especially in the coastal wind, and delivers a truly authentic links experience
